Gaming is More than Left Handed Mouses
Whether you’re right or left handed, it makes no difference when it comes to online gaming. You’re there to kick-back, have some fun, and play – that’s really all that is of any concern. Isn’t it a bit interesting that the fact you’re left-handed matters in many other games/sports but not online gaming. With online gaming, at the worst you’ll need to get a mouse to accomodate if you’re left-handed, but then again you probably already had one – so that’s it. Now onto some cool tips for gaming online.
If you desire to be accepted into any MMORPG (Massive MultiPlayer Online Role Playing Game) community, then you must start staying on top of the news with your game. Knowing the game is far more critically important than having the gear/equipment, you know – that left-handed mouse thing or getting the best keyboard shortcuts.
Once you choose your game, then fine out where the players hang-out, like forums, and get in there and start learning, networking, and building your rep. Why should you do this? You will need to know about any upgrades, news, events, or game app fixes that come out. Also, a lot of these kinds of important pieces of information are only announced in forums, etc. You probably already know about the importance of speed and bandwidth when you’re doing something that is resource intensive. Trying to game with a dial-up can be painful, and if you have to use one – we feel for you; maybe you can find a place that has a faster connection. If you’re in serious need of a speed upgrade/overhaul, then put the thinking cap on and figure out a way to do it – you know why (the gaming sucks). So check-out the spec requirements for whatever you’ll be doing and try to get yourself there. Any game you buy will have a list of recommended specs for optimal gaming experience, and you can use that as a guide for what you’ll need. It’s worth the trouble to be aware of what you need so you can prevent some possible aggravation down the road.
Always try to be gracious and avoid being negative to others, especially those are may not have a talent for the game. In the likely event other gamers do that to you, forget it and don’t let them goad you into saying something back to them – except maybe, "Thank you." Flame wars (arguments that are filled with harsh words and criticisms) can ruin the fun for everyone around you.
If you feel you need to say anything to somone, always maintain a polite manner and don’t say it in public. The energy can be negatively affected when words are spoken in public that are best kept in private.
Online gaming can be really rewarding and fulfilling. You can find other people who share your interest. You can fulfill various fantasies. Of course, if you want to have fun with online gaming it is important that you do your best to be a good player. This may take some practice, as well as acquiring helpful devices such as a special keyboard, as well as learning to get along with others. Don’t let it become an unhealthy obsession though. If you are going to spend hours playing online games, you should enjoy it!
